Chenven Touts Healthy Vision Summit

Improving health care quality, building better relationships with businesses, and promoting worksite wellness are all "leading to change for the better" in Texas health care, Norman Chenven, MD, wrote in a recent issue of Austin Business Journal.

Dr. Chenven, the founder and CEO of Austin Regional Clinic (ARC), was one of the participants in TMA's first Healthy Vision 2010 Health Care Summit.

Read Dr. Chenven's editorial, "Unsung Heroes in State's Health Care System."

Dr. Chenven spoke highly of the efforts of TMF Health Quality Institute and of TMA's new programs to improve patient safety. He outlined what ARC has done to improve health care outcomes for its patients.

"Behind all of these and other countless, unnamed quality initiatives are thousands of physicians dedicated to their patients and to the time-consuming process of evaluation leading to change for the better," he wrote. "This is the face of the Texas physician community, and I am proud to be among them."
